Welcome to Cartrizz! This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (very little), why we collect it, and how we keep it safe when you use https://cartrizz.com.

1. You Can Use Cartrizz Without an Account

No login = nothing is saved permanently. Your list lives only in your browser and disappears when you close the tab or clear your data.

2. Information We Collect Only When You Create or Log Into an Account

You have two ways to create an account so your lists are saved across devices:

• Sign in with Google → we receive your Google user ID and email address
• Email + password signup → we store the email address you enter and a securely hashed password

Regardless of how you sign up, we also store:

• The stores you add or remove from your dropdown
• Your grocery list items, quantities, checked-off status, and any custom items you create
• Basic timestamps (when you signed up and last used the app)

We never collect or store:

• Your name
• Your profile picture
• Your actual password (only a one-way hash when you use email signup)
• Payment information
• Location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data

3. How We Use Your Information

Only one reason: to save your grocery lists, custom items, and store preferences so they’re waiting for you next time — on any device or browser.

4. Data Storage and Security

All saved data is stored in an encrypted database. We use HTTPS everywhere, hash passwords, and follow industry-standard security practices. No online service is 100% secure, but we do everything reasonable to keep your data safe.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to anyone — ever — except:

• Google’s servers handle authentication if you choose “Sign in with Google”
• As required by law

6. Deleting Your Data

You’re in full control:

• “Clear List” → removes current items but keeps your account
• Delete your account from Settings → permanently deletes your email, password hash, lists, stores — everything — within 24 hours

7. Your Rights

Email us anytime to see what data we have or to request immediate deletion.
